Update: Finished it! Super cute! 10/10. Highly recommend. VBF is great at catching you up if you didn’t read the first book, but there is only one other so far…so why wouldn’t you just snag and read both! Disclaimer: there is some spicy in this book. So if that isn’t your thing…maybe it’s not for you, but I like a little spicy every now and then. 😃
FINALLY pulling The Violet Hour by Victoria Benton Frank from my TBR pile. I absolutely adored My Magnolia Summer, and while The Violet Hour could technically be read as a standalone… I wouldn’t recommend it.
My Magnolia Summer is just too good to skip and even though book two fills you in as you go, there’s nothing quite like experiencing the original.
Feeling a little homesick for the low country!

“The Most Photographed Road in SC: Botany Bay Rd at Botany Bay Plantation, Edisto Island.
The last time I was there was close to 20 years ago, shortly after I first arrived the first time in SC. What a wonderful drive in to the plantation, as all roads are covered in `live` oak trees (live oak trees do not lose their leaves in winter as opposed to regular oak trees). It was a wonderful drive from Charleston to Edisto Islan. Will do it again before I leave for the Keys.” Sharon Jones
